As a follow up to my message for those who are interested to
learn/discuss more on the issue of using tagged learning objects by
the learning management system itself to serve adaptive courses -
there are two relevant events coming. There is even some time to
submit a paper:
1. International Conference on Adaptive Hypermedia and Adaptive
Web-based Systems (Italy, Aug. 2000). More details at
http://AH2000.itc.it/
While this conference is not limited to adaptive educational systems,
these systems usually constitute over 1/3 of all works in this area.
If you hold a European Passport - do not miss grant information.
2. Workshop on Adaptive and Intelligent Web-based education systems
(Montreal, Canada, June 2000). More details at
http://virtcampus.cl-ki.uni-osnabrueck.de/its-2000/
The workshop will be held right before ITS'2000 conference that is
quite relevant too. But those who work on Web-based education systems
and are interested in some more adaptivity may find the workshop the
most interesting conference event.
