I don't know this distinction. Can you clarify the difference? I think metadata is specifically talking about Learning Objects
(which the LOM acronym supports).

This is an interesting proposition. I'd accept it if it was qualified by saying that it had to be 'wrapped' with other objects
that were designed for education. I'm not sure we're yet at a place where a system can wrap knowledge objects together with
system-generated information to achieve a learning experience.
