This issue appears to be on the way to becoming resolved based on economics. The
cost for an on campus experience will be much more expensive than the emerging
alternatives. The ability to afford a luxury experience at a resident institution
will be dependent on income. As the costs rise, government will also default to the
lower cost options whether offered in or through the institution in the country of
origin or from a cyber campus with a global faculty.
there will be exceptions as campuses look more like urban malls with a variety of
activities, but these will be a far cry from the current ivy covered halls and
grassed malls with tweed jacketed academics wandering to and fro speaking of
Michaelangelo
thoughts?
