Dear IFETS'ers,

I would like to set up a threaded discussion list as I feel the anonymity
and the effectiveness of this method of discussing and distributing
information is potentially very useful.

Unfortunately, at present I am not in a position to get this service
hosted on the universities server. I am therefore looking for a free
web based service where both staff and students can ask questions and take
part in an open debate.

Does anyone know of such a *free* service that is hosted remotely. I have
looked at the BSCW (http://bscw.gmd.de/) system but this seems to
elaborate for my needs (and I am not sure whether this can easily be set
up for a group of staff and students. I am going to see if I can get the
network people at LGU to set up the BSCW system on our own servers for
next year, but in the mean time would like to instigate a simple web based
threaded discussion.
