I am developing some resources and undertaking some research on this topic.
The material is being developed iteratively, and a first public pass is on :

This is currently being augmented with practical case hitory so keep
visiting if you are interested. I hope the case study material will be
there by January.

Comments and crits always welcome.

Also I suggest that people seek out some ideas forwarded by Morten Flaute
Polsen of NKI in Norway. In ICDE95_L he developed a comprehensive inventory
of on-line techniques. They are on the 'net somewhere,
