I appologise for being too busy to particpate in the flexible learning
debate at his time. However thre is a point of semantics I would like to
raise. I am worried about the words "deliver" when applied to education and
learning. It is beloved of UK politicians as well. However I hope others
share my disquiet about the notion that learning can be "delivered" (along
with Pizza I assume).
Least of all would I expect "flexibile learning" to be "delivered". I
assume the flexibility to be associated with flexibility in physical access
to learning and flexibility in temporal access to learning.

Meanwhile... I have remembered a considerable www resource on Flexible
Learning on my website It still needs more work to fully hypertexualise
the files and most of all Dr Peter Tomlinson of Leeds University, needs
credit for its authorship. The student who undertook the task did not
finish and I never got 'round to it, and the UK (now defunct) Training
Agency also need some acknowledgement. It was published as being "freely
copyable for education" and permission for the task was granted at the time.
