Is the purpose of this list to debate theory or to produce results.
What is flexible learning? Is it possible?? Rather than argue the
possiblity, let me give you an example of what I did my last semester
before retirement and perhaps you can tell me if this what you mean?
I taught a Master's level course in Neurpsychology. Class lectures
were concerned with the research and theory. After every class
students had to summarize on a mailing list what they think I said in
that class. A most enlightening and humbling experience.
There were 3 assignments to be completed out of class
a) Select a brain syndrome, aphasia, dyslexia, etc and do a library
computer search and compare that to a WWW search
b) Join a mailing list on the topic and search the archives for
information and ask for a volunteer with that syndrome to give
subjective perspective.
c) Create ones own information and seek collaborators by starting a
mailing list on that syndrome
The final paper was a web page that integrated the three assignments
