Martin,
To paraphrase your country's famous leader, and as one of the most patriotic
amongst my countryment, the USA isn't so much "right" as "best, so far".
There are some even better, like Hong Kong, but it belongs in a category of
its own. Most countries were formed on some tribal basis, but USA was formed
on the idea of an experiment in limited government. Of course, the current
struggle pits whose who wish to continue the experiment with those who wish
to introduce (or further) tribalism here, but the original intent is still
strong enough where people from India who are nominally enemies of each other
get rich together working in our most competitive industries.
