"What landmark technologies might alter the future of computer-mediated
education?"

The previous mention of mobile phones in this needs to be seriously considered.
Mobile phones wont be around for ever, but the implication for a device that is
smaller, more portable and less likely to be anchored in a traditional classroom
shd be seriously considered. Which then brings along a lot of other interesting
ideas of what really constitutes a 'classroom'?

"What additional skills will future online teachers need with the advent of
major changes in the technological landscape?"

How about flexibility and life long learning <groan> I know its been done to
death, but it hasnt actually impacted on those institutions called schools! They
use it in their school mottos and logos but it hasnt actually crossed the
classroom floor yet!

Regards Sandra
