I have seen two incredibly useful learning ideas that are presently too
expensive for schools to develop but ...

1. Roger Schank's Goal Based Scenario's
http://www.ils.nwu.edu/~e_for_e/nodes/NODE-291-pg.html I would be creating
this type of content now if we could afford it.

2. Interactive Children's software such as Jumpstart

Name=SectionPageEducators&Merchant_ID=1&Section_ID=110 and Pharaoh
http://www.sierrastudios.com/games/pharaoh/ My daughter has used both these
products and I was very impressed at the amount of learning that took place
in a short time.

The Saskatchewan Institute Of Applied Science and Technology developed two
highly interactive, graphic and video loaded CD-ROMS to teach basic Science
and Math. Both productions were in the $200,000 range. We aren't going to do
this type of development anymore because of the cost.

I believe that increasing the student's ability to actively use all there
senses while learning will improve learning for all people.

"What matters most is not the moment when the student uses the technology
but how that use promotes improvement in that student's education. - S.
Ehrmann"
