Quicktime is free, the plug-in is included with most installations of
popular browsers. it is totally cross browser/platform. You can have
multiple tracks in the audio and have subtitles for the deaf. There are a
plethora of production tools available. It can take .wav and .Aiff files
without any dficulty and convert them on one click. You do not need any
complicated server software to use it. It can be set to s stream or it can
be set to play on arrival.
