Sanjaya Mishra,
Thank you for sharing with us your interesting report on
Competencies for Web Based Instructional Designers. I think it is a timely
report with enlightening results.
I just want to suggest that other skill that every instructional designer
working in web based environment should focus on is the impact of the
technological interface on learners, learning, and content production.
Although this issue could be perceived as embedded in the general competence of
item 20 , analyze the characteristics of existing and emerging technologies, my
remark emphasizes the human , rather than the technological side of it. Being
the impact of the interface a major difference between face to face and distance
learning, it would be convenient to add g as an essential competence for
instructional designers knowledge on the impact of interface on learners and
learning.
