Greetings IFETS Forum,

Hi -wishing you "all the best" --here is a pointer on the AI in Design
2000 conference --took place 16-29 June 2000, hosted by the Worcester
Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusets. See at
(http://www.arch.usyd.edu.au/kcdc/conferences/aid00/) --The biannual
conference offers researchers in the field of AI in design a place to
gather and share their findings. Rodney A. Brooks, professor of computer
science and dierctor of the MIT AI Lab., gave the keynote address on
"Mankind's Evolving Relationships with Machines," on robots that interact
with human beings. --His work is based on the hypothesis that humanoid
intelligence requires humanoid interactions with the world.-- Besides
Rodney Brooks, other AI researchers such as, John Haymaker, Edith
Ackermann, etc. have also presented their research findings.
