Adding some more thoughts of *Konrad Lorenz* to above, "Historians will
have to face the fact that natural selection determined the evolution of
cultures in the same manner as it did that of species."
Great Nobel Laureate, Lorenz has also proposed in "DAS SOGEGAMMTE BOESE"
(1963: On Aggression 1966) that human fighting and warfare had genetic
origins in the kind of behaviour observed in lower animals when defending
a territory. The theory gained popularity but evoked sharp criticism by
authorities in many fields, esp..Sociobiology.
Actually, Sociobiology is a developing scientific field that investigates
the biological bases of the social behaviour of animals. Sociobiology
seeks to extend the concept of natural selection to social systems and
social behaviour of animals, including humans. Later, because of the
efforts of some prominent sociobiologists to extend such analysis to the
complex behaviour of humans.
