Alexandria, VA--The First Forward Institute, Inc. has joined the The
National Employer Leadership Council (NELC), a coalition of private and
public organizations committed to the national school-to-work (STW)
initiative. As NELC states, "school-to-work is based on the proven
concept that education for all students can be made more relevant and
useful to future careers and lifelong learning. Rather than just
memorizing facts out of a textbook, students will learn by applying what
they learn to real life, real work situations". Company president and
ET&S associate editor Nora Carrol comments "given our focus on distance
delivered consulting and education, FFI plans to offer workplace
