Arun,

There was surely no need to quote the whole of Martin Owen's post to
IFETS just for you to say "I found this." I get IFETS as a digest, and
having to wade through reams of automatically quoted text in a reply
which references none of it is rather annoying, at the least. I read
most of my email via a dial-up link which nominally delivers 33.2kbps,
but turns out to be about 1kb per second, so the digest can take up to
a minute to download. Obviously, redundant text doesn't help my
patience. Instead of a constructive reply, I deliver this...

Could I PLEASE appeal to all list users again, DO NOT quote the
original message unless you directly refer to it. Most of us are
academics, and (should surely) understand this principle.
