I agree 100%. I would only add (being a non-programmer myself)
that we need such tools for adults as well.
Also I think we need more easy-to-use and flexible software of all
types. Much of the commercial software that currently exists, like the
common word processing packages, are, IMHO, disasters when it comes to
facilitating user activity. Tools need to be simple, elegant and adaptable
to user needs. The focus of attention should be on the object of the
activity and not on the tool itself.
