my name is Bengt Kjellén, i am an ass prof at the school of business
at Stockholm university (Sweden), at present working at the Gotland
University College, as the "dean" for the business adm/IT-programme.
my main interests for the moment, consequently, is on one hand the
integration of IT into the standard bus adm curriculum content, on
the other different ways of using IT to deliver that content
"asynchronously" and "virtually". in the latter context, i
specifically wish to avoid to perpetuate the mistakes or shortcomings
of more traditional teaching methods.
a considerable part of the teaching takes place over interactive
video links between Gotland (an island with a rich viking and
hanseatic heritage) and two other universities in stockholm. we are
also in the process of developing courses for distance education.
