Hello all
I spent my sabbatical last year switching into cognitive & instructional
psychology (PhD program at McGill university) while having taught finance
for the past 16 years. The comprehensive exam hurdle is thankfully over
(which defied every good practice in teaching and learning advocated by
the program!) and I am now ready to write a proposal. Any dissertation
ideas that would allow the participation of 200 students that I teach each
semester is welcomed.
Others may be interested in some projects I am currently involved in (or
better still guide me with their expertise and experience in similar
ventures) :
- a web-base case course in international finance (subject: the fallout
from the Asian crisis)
- mixed mode instructional design of intro corporate finance courses using
First Class Software
- a profile on the web of nationally recognized excellent teachers in
Canada- the 3M award winners (about 120 of them)
Each of the above sites are under construction and will be made available
as they happen.
I look forward to the exchanges in this forum with special interest.
