Thank you for your message and interest in my paper.
Is this my keynote paper for the Mathematica Symposium 1995? If so, I should
be grateful if you would pass it on.
My only reservation is that my ideas have evolved somewhat since I wrote it
and the world has moved on. However I have just re-read it and I think that
it is still pointing in the right direction. Where did you find it? Is it
on the web?

I will try to find time to contribute more recent thoughts to the debate.
For how long will contributions be possible - I am in Tunis 13 to 23 Oct ?

I am grateful to you for pointing me to David Mercer's work; I have just
glanced at it; It looks very good - I shall certainly be reading it.
