Diane, I don't use tutors in my on-line Internet-based course but I do
encourage and design the course so that students will interact and learn
from each other.
The other thing I do which I might argue is an ethical requirement for
courseware involving non-traditional entry skills is to have all
students take an entry skills checklist. This self administered test is
designed to let them determine if they are ready to use this medium for
