Good points on game-playing in Ashok Patel's mail. I just have a couple of
quick responses to the point below.

First, this is why collaborative games sometimes hold the advantage, providing
that players at least have to explain to each other their plans & why they are
doing things. Second, the point on not enough reflection is exactly that
studied by a PhD student in the research group I did my Masters degree with --
i.e., E-GEMS at UBC, Vancouver. His research was on using a non-intuitive
"conceptual metaphor" rather than "physical metaphor" interface within a game
about transformational geometry in the hope that this would necessitate
reflection (as opposed to trial-and-error button-pressing, icon-dragging, etc).
