EDUCATING FOR CRITICAL THINKING IN THE 21ST CENTURY=20
For this special pre-millennial issue of Inquiry, we invite the submission =
of=20
papers under the following headings: critical thinking and educational refo=
rm,=20
critical thinking and restructuring teacher education, critical thinking an=
d=20
restructuring schools of pedagogy, and critical thinking and reforming publ=
ic=20
education.=20
Additionally, papers addressing critical thinking in the disciplines,=20
critical thinking and social issues, critical thinking perspectives in=20
multiculturalism and postmodernism or critical thinking and writing are als=
o=20
being welcomed. These should illuminate issues, problems and solutions we=
=20
will be facing as we begin the 21st century. Given the diverse nature of=20
both the field and our readership we ask that authors present early in thei=
r=20
manuscripts the manner in which critical thinking is to be understood for=
=20
their particular piece.
Three printed (hard) copies of manuscripts should be submitted with the=20
author=92s name appearing only on a cover sheet. These copies should be
accompanied by computer diskette with two versions of the paper, one=20
formatted and one straight text, unformatted
=2E Submissions should be between 3000 =96 8000 words. Macintosh, Microsoft
Word (5.1) is preferred, but others are acceptable. Submissions should be=
