While I do like the notion of inquiry, what always worries me is the
source, the function and the place of the question which is to stimulate
such learning. Inquiry-based means:
(a) a learning which causes questions
(b) a learning which focuses on finding answers. However, what is the
relationship between the questions posed for that purpose and all
the answers that students come up with during, say, a semester?
How can it be ensured that generalisation will take place of a kind
    that facilitate innovative thinking??

I think that the question pose in (b) is important because before we find
a method which will claim facilitating innovative and critical thinking,
we may need to evaluate critically the expectations which motivate the
design.
