I have been out of the loop.

I am rather upset about the decsion in Kansas...

However the best stuff on biological basis of learning remains:
Humberto Maturana and E. Valera "The Tree of Knowledge". All organisms are
in close coupling with their environment. Humans exist in a social
environment. What was the evolutionary pressures for language and advanced
cognition?

Howcan learning be private? All our actions are mediated by the cultural
tools and artifacts our fellow humans collaboratively have created.
