regarding learning style and related issues, I have some questions:

As a person who is a learner, I make a decision as to why and how much I
want to learn-cociously or unconsciously. I am not talking about
capacity- but in the content arena. I might not like math but I make the
decision to master certain manterials at a certain level. I may be
motivated by internal or external sticks and carrots.

As a teacher what is my responsibility to the learner? Who determines
this relationship? Does it matter? why and why not? and what are the
consequences and/or alternatives?

In today's society, the learner gets evaluated- sometimes directly by
the teacher, indirectly, by the institution and then by the external
world. In some instances there is a 3rd party evaluator for the class or
for the subject matter. Does this matter? why and why not? and what are
the consequences and/or alternatives?

In today's society, the teacher also gets evaluated. Sometimes on
content expertise and sometimes on pedagogy or both. Does this matter?
why and why not? and what are the consequences and alternatives?

thoughts?
