that is if we agree that teacher's role is to explain, mentor, in a word,
to teach. Let me put my concerns differently: if the talented teacher
fails to "explain", is this now the fault of the student or the fault of
the teaching system which failed to complexify the systems enabling
comprehension? what do we do next? Should we simply assume that such
students are not, as one former colleague once put it, a university
material? Needless to say, the colleague *was* a certified university
material...

Furthermore, if teaching is about explaining, then questions, and hence
critical viewing, are nothing else but products of the legitimate logic
which learners are to acquire. In a sense, therefore, there will be
nothing critical in these questions since they will be based on
assumptions of the same logic (models) which was explained to them.
However, if we let in diferent logics into the system, how can a teacher
explain things if these logic are beyond his grasp?

In one question: is learning about acquisition of models which are
explained to us?
