In response to the discussions about andragogy vs pedagogy:
Lusted (1986) pedagogy draws attention to the process through which
knowledge is produced. Pedagogy addresses the "how' questions
involved not only in the transmission of knowledge but also in its
production. Lusted highlights that pedagogy is often referred to as
no more than a teaching style; he introduces important dimensions
beyond this common understanding including processes of knowledge
production.

By thinking of pedagogy in these realtional ways Lusted allows us to
move beyond debates about children or adults.
