Dear IFETS colleagues,
Lately we have been informed of a rising tide of violence at schools around the world.
We are a group of Israeli teachers and educators from multi-cultural backgrounds
(Jewish & Arab), engaging in a project to try and prevent forthcoming catastrophies in
our schools.
The group members, whom I represent, seek guidance and advice from the learned
IFETS colleagues. Currenntly we are working on a construction of a web site which
will include educational materials regarding the above mentioned topic, as well as
trying to enhance Quality of Life at school and the community as a whole.
Therefore, if you can assist us by contributing from your knowledge and experience,
we would be grateful!! (Credit and acknowledgement are promised).
Please ask your students whether they can express any preferences concerning
Violence Prevention and Quality of Life.
Moreover, should the site be built as a news bulletin, as a virtual classroom, or
else???
Please suggest other ideas you may be willing to share.
And one final question, not less important:
How can these materials be delivered through adopting concepts of Istructional
Design (of Philip Duchastel)?
