Tom points us to Goleman's concpets of EQ and IQ. The very fact that he has
made the split is a cause of concern. It must be quite psychopathic
behaviour ( there I go, socially constructing illness again) that thinks
"intellectually" and thinks"emotionally" in a different sort of way.

It might be possible to taxonomise some forms of "knowing" actions (eg
Knowing who, what , how etc)... however the process of "being" is surely
holistic? (IMHO). Cartesian dualism has long outlived its usefulmess.

This does not detract from the Goleman's sentiment however... there is more
to knowing then Gradgrind's facts ( Dickens).
