Your local FE college should have a number of packages which you could look at in order to compare with what's available in schools.
They will have lots of experience of delivering this kind of training to adults and could probably work in partnership with you if
you wanted them to.

If not, contact any of the English as a Second language (aka English as an Additional Language) sections in inner London FE colleges
for guidance. For example City and Islington College, Lewisham College, Newham College, Hammersmith and West London College.

Also contact Sally McKeown at BECTA (British Educational Communication and Technology Agency). She is responsible for a range of IT
projects for second language speakers. She's on 01203 416 994.

I work for a city council in England which will shortly be receiving
refugees from Kosovo. As part of the IT, department we have been asked
(once the people are settled) to set up and provide an IT training
programme. Our Education department has a multitude of packages used in
schools which we can tap into but I would welcome any suggestions people
have that would assist us in helping these people.

Has anyone been involved with helping refugees being settled in other
countries for instance.

All assistance\comments\suggestions gratefully received.
