I suspect that your best initial source on European approaches would be a series of monographs produced by CEDEFOP, along with their accompanying financial portraits. There is one for each country in the EU and they are being updated this year. My colleague David Atkinson DATKINSO@feda.ac.uk has produced the uk financial portrait.
We at FEDAS are very interested in international comparisons so sight of your work and/or references would be appreciated.

G'day, IFETS community,

I am after a little assistance.

I am researching the various types of Vocational Educational and Training
(VET) systems in operation throughout the world. To assist in this
research, I was wondering if any members of the IFETS community could
provide any URL's or references to literature on this subject. The focus of
my research is mainly associated with the training of apprentices within the
VET systems however information on the system as a whole would be greatly
appreciated.
