Dear Tom, George, et. al.,
A thoughtful and excellent paper, Tom. I would also like to put my
thoughts and words here. I am agree with George, below.
To my point, Technology makes it possible to hear the voices that
otherwise would not be heard..
Currently available technologies, the most important of which are
computers, communication systems (including Internet Connections), and
interactive videodisk and CD-ROM systems, provide learning tools that
enable problem solving and intellectual inquiry to fourish. The
Interactive nature of these technologies stimulates learners' interest and
motivates them to spend more time on task, an essential factor for
improving achievement. Interactive remote communications give us access to
an ever expanding world of informations resources. The technologies also
allow us to work at our own pace, and encourage us to take initiative and
learn independently.
The Internet is an excellent example of a technology application that has
tremendous potential to foster learners' active engagement with both
people and knowledge.

Some more thoughts later, as the discussions progress. Actually the theme
