Subject: [IFETS-DISCUSS] The Return of Radio

A survey of different communication means across nations shows that radio has got 'Rebirth'. While new TV channels are on offer, it has to be viewed when you are stationed at a place, where as you can carry radio you go places, jogging or driving.

radio advertising is also getting serious attention and the manufacturers are bringing new models. But one of the main hinderances observed in the true growth of radio seems to be with Licensing policies. What role the private players can play and what role has tobe played by the Govt owned agencies?

Our readers can share their stories regarding revenue sources through radio advertising, and what kind of revenue-sharing model is being followed in their countries.
