I think there needs to be some clarity made regarding the role of
technology, classroom meetings, lectures and "on-line participation". Why
force anyone to do anything if the activity seems a waste of time? I think
we may need to more clear in regards to the objectives of our teaching so
that we do not assess on-line participation (unless it is the participation
that we are looking for) but, in fact, the attainment of the objectives that
we seek out.
