Re: your June 3 posting to the IFETS DISCUSSION DIGEST, Dr. Roy Rada
(University of Maryland Baltimore County) and I have researched the factors
that encourage students' participation in on-line systems and verified what
you have read regarding the need to have an assessment component in a class
in which online participation is encouraged. I wrote my doctoral thesis on
the topic:
Peer Interactions and Quality Learning in Computer-Mediated Communication
Systems." The abstract is catalogued in UMI's Dissertation Abstracts
database. The UMI Microform is 9954099, Copyright 2000 by Bell and Howell

optimist is happier and the outcome is the same. (Happy) author unknown.
