dear Deidre & all
your gender studies model sounds like it's working alright. Have you
thought of putting students into groups & getting one person per group
to moderate (they could take turns) & provide summaries to the main
discussion area - would save on tutor time.
any plans to archive the postings as a learning resource for students
who follow?
re capturing knowledge example at:
http://www25.brinkster.com/verhaart/
this looks like a mighty endeavour - I'm not sure what the annotations
provide - info for those constructing or feedback from those viewing?
Sniplets could be in danger of being too specific which has always been
my reservation about the use of pools of learning objects. How do the
authors control copyrights & issues of modification of their materials
or is it a free for all? Freedom of information & the benefits that come
from mutual sharing like athe good old barter system, rather than
producing for economic gain we share our knowledge.
Oh ideal world!!
