Subject: [IFETS-DISCUSS] Evaluation of distance courses

Dear All,

My name is Essam Kosba, I am from Egypt. I am a PhD student in the school of
computing - University of Leeds - UK. My research is related to intelligent
distant educational systems. We try to lessen the students' feeling of
isolation in distance educational environments by generating advice to
course facilitators and also to students.

My question is how we can measure the student's feeling of isolation and how
we can measure also the student's satisfaction in these educational
environments. Are there any standard methodologies used to measure these
items?

I will appreciate any help or guidance
