Hello Keith,

I share your view of the import of communication however I would argue that
the effect of technology upon it still relates to the nature of technology
as a set of tools. A parallel might be drawn between f2f and distance
education - the same underlying principles of learning apply, even though
the nature of communication fundamentally differs for both models. I do not
think that we are justified in referring to eLearning as separate from f2f
and distance education even though eLearning provides new opportunities.

I fully endorse your conclusion - we do need to further explore pedagogy in
relation to these new tools that we have!
