That was very interesting data that you shared. Thanks also for sharing the
Tech. Comm. plan for gender balance.
I am a male elementary library media specialist. I have 14 years of
classroom teaching experience; however, this is only my second as a media
specialist. I have recently begun teaching second graders how to put
together PowerPoint presentations as a culminating activity for their
research projects. I am pleased to say that of the first ten students to
participate, six have been girls.
Having raised two daughters, both of whom are VERY independent, I try to
insure that girls get at least equal opportunity to learn any and all forms
of technology. This includes buying equal shares of boy and girl software.
