I read Alan's posting with some interest and viewed the SBP case study.
I found the latter rather flat, but perhaps it's because I found it lacking
any clear specification of purposes and outcomes.
David Jonassen's paper seems to use Constructivist Learning Environments as
a taken-for-granted concept, based on the paradox of its expression in
objectivist format [Note at end of paper]!
The link suggested for further prototypes and environments, and possibly the
theoretical foundations of the model, http://www.ed.psu.edu/~jonassen/cle/
did not work!
I found it difficult to see how the model used Lave's crucial concept of
"Legitimate Peripheral Participation in Communities of Practice" in Lave, J.
& Wenger, E. (1991). Situated learning: Legitimate peripheral participation.
New York: Cambridge University
Press.
I hope this helps to clarify things.

Vera,
For an example of a website which is a good example of a "constructivist
learning environment" go to:
http://www2.deakin.edu.au/bowater/SBP/Management/DEFAULT.HTM
or, for a secondary education example, check out:
http://www.kilvington.schnet.edu.au/
For an excellent paper by David Jonassen on "Designing Constructivist
Learning Environments" go
to:
http://www.ed.psu.edu/insys/who/jonassen/cle/cle.html
Hope this helps with your exploration.
