Hi,
I would like to tap into the expertise of the members of this list. My wife and I
have been developing software applications that involve process thinking skills of
reading and writing for the classroom and general public. Now we are interested
in moving this in another direction: The use of contextual learning strategies to
develop basic literacy skills in conjunction with the development of vocational
skills, and strategies to develop such skills with limited-English-speaking
populations.
We have not examined how to apply these skills directly to vocational skills that
could directly lead to employment. Can anyone direct us or provide information
how this could be done? The linkage between literacy and employment is well known,
but how can move our software applications to the vocational skills arena?
