RE: Tools for the Internet
My colleague and I are developing a way for people to annotate Web pages with pop up notes. It occurs to me that some people might want to try this for grading term papers and essay exams and evaluating theses and journal article manuscripts. The student work is submitted as an html file, which the teacher puts on a Web site that has the "Note-it!" software. Then, opening the file in the browser, the teacher can "write in the margins" without space limits with linked notes that are in-context.
You can test this system out at http://www.foruminc.com/noteit/
I would be interested to get your reactions, particularly suggestions on what if any applications there might be for this tool.
