JOB OPPORTUNITIES AT MEDIATECH SRL: APPLICATION OF AGENTS, DOCUMENTATION AND MULTIMEDIA TO DISTANCE LEARNING

The research department of Mediatech SRL (http://mediatech.didael.it/) is looking for candidates who enjoy a challenge and relish the prospect of developing new ideas (http://mediatech.didael.it/ita/lavoroRicerca.html). The federating research theme is distance learning. To achieve it, Mediatech is doing research on multimedia, network-based dialogues, search for and access to information, computer-mediated interaction and software agents.

Three positions are available to experienced researchers, with a Ph. D in computer science, education or psychology. Candidates with a M. Sc. and/or equivalent experience will also be considered.

(1) Researcher in virtual reality modelling and 3D interfaces on the WWW applied to education (#9925021)

(1) Researcher in recommander systems and software agents (#9925022)

(1) Researcher in pedagogy for distance learning (#9925023)

Three positions are available to junior research scientists, interns and developers (#9925024). These positions require knowledge in Java, databases or web site design. Preference will be given to candidates having a M. Sc. in computer science. Candidates with a B. Sc. and equivalent experience will also be considered.

The programming environment is based on UML, Java, and XML.

The operational site is near Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy, in a beautiful resort near the sea, with an excellent climate and quality of life.
