Dear friends,
Hello. I subscribed to this mailing list some time ago but never thought
of introducing myself but here goes...
I'm Aileen Han and am a MA (Applied Linguistics) student in University
Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. My thesis may interest some people on this
list. I'm actually looking at cognitive and metacognitive strategies in
an online Englist writing course.I'm using the findings from O'Malley et
al's 1985 report on language learning strategies and to investigate
(using an ethnographic design) to see if there is a transfer of
strategies to the online course. It's over a 3-month period.
Although I have my research questions and everything else ready, I'm
still trying to identify a suitable ESL online English writing course
which serves a 3-month period, is user-friendly and most of all, free!!
Does anyone seem to know any or have any comments that may be relevant
to what I'm doing? I'd appreciate your help and comments.
