Hello to all IFETS forum members,
As a new member of the forum I would like to take a moment to introduce myself
and my practical and research interests in Educational Technology.
I am the director of an institute that transfers intelligent tutoring systems
from research laboratories to primary and secondary schools (US K-12
Education). The institute is 'Olympia Educational Systems Institute (
www.oesi.org )'. The name Olympia is a reflection of ancient Greek ideals of
education, which included an individualized approach to education and a
student-centered curriculum.
My background includes recent work as a post-doctoral research associate of
the US Air Force Research Laboratory studying the use of intelligent tutoring
systems to teach fundamental academic skills. Some of my current research
topics include interoperable component-based authoring shells for intelligent
tutoring systems, and designing intelligent tutoring systems that interact
with both students and their teachers.
I am looking forward to the upcoming discussions.
