In March, a colleague and I will be travelling to Malaysia and Vietnam
to interview people involved in distance education in those countries.
We are especially interested in the application of new information and
communication technologies in the provision of international distance
education in those countries.

This research is being conducted by the Monash Centre for Research in
International Education.

the research project 'New Frontiers / New Technologies / New
Pedagogies', which is described at

I am seeking your help in identifying additional contacts in Malaysia
and Vietnam who are:
* using internationally-produced modules in schools and universities
* developing culturally-specific educational multimedia
* delivering or receiving online education and other forms of tele-learning

If you know anyone who fits these criteria and who might be
interested in meeting with us, we would love to hear from
you.

This trip is part of an ongoing research project exploring the
pedagogical issues involved in the delivery of distance education
across political and cultural boundaries. We expect to be producing a
number of publications and discussion documents throughout this year.
If you would like to be informed of our progress or are working on
similar research, drop me a line.
