Some questions?
Who are Ahby & Meyer-Briggs? I know who Kholb is. I have not
managed to trace David Brooks' text is it in a journal is it a book
is it on the web?
I do appreciate the links given by Elaine Winters.
This was prompted by the summary of discussion: Adult learner
behaviours in workplace vs. Educational Environments, but it is an
issue I have considered before, but not expressed it. In fact it
relates to the different purposes of different types of
communication as well as those of individuals involved in the
communication.
I use this forum for a range of reasons and one of these is to
develop a deeper understanding of pedagogy in relation to use of C &
IT in learning. So discussion summaries are very useful. However
summaries would be more useful if they had the reference to the
article/book that was refered to. I recognise that inclusion of this
in a discussiion would be burdonsome and would hinder the discourse,
but a summary is a different type of communication and would be more
useful if it did have the main references included.
Is it that a protocol for discussion that is then summarised is
needed ie contributors agree to submit to the organiser any key
reference they have used?
