Subject: [ifets] Regarding Adult Learner Behaviors in Workplace

Dear Nora and Other IFETS-Forum Members,

Better late than never...!!

Regarding Dr. Nora Carrol discussion on the following themes....
I am putting my input in <<>> below.

* differences that may emanate from motivation (i.e., what motivates someone
to attend formal courses may or may not be the same as what motivates
them to learn at work)

<< The motivation is self learning and lifelong learning, this
two different learning styles motivate actually all, but adult learners to
attend the formal and non-formal course, because they want to develop
themselves, also they want to keep going with the change in environment.
They have a capability to cope up with the changes in technology, may be
this one is critical, but they have an idea, better say high prophecy.>>

* differences between voluntary and involuntary participation in learning

<< In this two types of learning processes, the social impacts are also
included. It also depends that, whether different parts of the bopy are
functioning well or not. In these two types of learning processes, the
role of Brain is important, here the Science of Neurology plays the role.
Learning can be controlled. Plato has once defined that, "Learning exists
in mind, independent of space and time". The philosophy of Plato quite
well knowledgeable in these two learning styles.>>

* differences between learning that is tangibly rewarded via credit, CEU's
or certification, and learning that is not tangibly rewarded

<<Please let me, What is CEU?. Credit must be awarded to the learners,
because Credits are the encouragement given to the learners.>>

* differences that result from the learning evaluation and measuring methods
used

* differences that result from the instructional delivery systems, physical
and virtual

Any thoughts??

Kindest Regards
Arun Kumar Tripathi
