Subject: [ifets] a question

If an instructinal technologist is defined as the person in contact with
faculty on a daily basis -- as in assigned to a group of faculty -- the
question follows:

What duties should be expected of instructional technologist on the front
line support? Are these approriate areas? Are there more? To what degree
should the Instructioanl technologist be expected to provide these services?
If you were writing the job description, what duties would you consider
absolutely necessary?

            Training
            Teaching
            Course revision
            Discourse
            Vision

Much thanks... by the way, I did tell the person who requested this that he
was asking for a dissertation level report.. any help and perspective
greatly appreciated.
